Family Devotions For March 22 and 29, 2020
Based off of the message from March 22:
Hide and Seek
Play a good old-fashioned game of Hide and Seek, except this time, you (a parent) hide and your kids are out to find you!
When everyone finds the hidden parent, read Psalm 27:4-5
Questions:
What makes a bad shelter?
What makes a strong (good) shelter?
What makes God a good shelter?
Share why its important that you find shelter in God. Share your heart and faith.
Based off of the message from March 29th:
What’s In A Name?
Tell your child how they got their name.
Tell them what that name means to you.
Read Judges 6:11-12
Explain why Gideon is hiding and why he may be afraid and not feel brave
Ask why does the Lord call Gideon a “mighty man of valor?”
Think of a superhero and ask for a favorite superhero

What was Mufasa telling Simba?
Big idea:
It’s important to remember the name that our parents give us. It has meaning. Its also important to know that God calls us by name to remind us that He created us and He created us to be more than we could ever imagine - Mighty Warriors for God!
God call us by a great name because He created us to do great things
Through the week follow up:
Great you kids by say, “There’s ________________, a mighty warrior for God!”
You got this. He’s got you.
Peace,
Jon
